ottnott, you mentioned something that is rarely discussed. Once demand for labor and inputs for housing drops, the prices of those will go down too. After the builders finish the houses currently in the pipeline and lay off their staff, construction materials, labor, appliances, commodities (copper,lumber), and everything needed to build a house will go down (less demand). It will be much cheaper to build. If I were doing a home remodel, I would definitely wait a few years…
