One that I seriously considered starting a few years ago, before a bunch came on the market, was a foreclosure cleanup company. A busy junk hauling company can make you serious money. There is a lot of competition, but that should never scare you, because it’s easy to be smarter than 90% of them.
I still entertain the idea, but my real job, online store, and now (of course) my Android development company make my plate pretty full, and there is some real monetary risk involved because you have to buy a truck and/or trailer and hire someone to help before you know if it will be successful. It would also be a lot of hard work until you were busy enough to hire a second employee.
I agree that the stupid Android apps have a lot of potential. I think there are more people using their smartphone to play games on the toilet than people using them to do business.
