OK whatever, but in SoCal I say we end up with a Megalopolis,
“an extensive metropolitan area or a long chain of continuous metropolitan areas.”
Not saying it’s good (or bad), just inevitable.
Even NYC could not survive without its suburbs.
I did mention scaling.
When you go to Shanghai you don’t see the factories in the city, they are usually quite away outside the city.
The city is mostly stores and bureaucrats (and a few schools).
