Ok – I just re-read the article… In the side bar it mentions that the projects chosen for case study (which Dreyfuss’s was) can get up to $10,000.
So that is money that you or I would have a harder time getting.
Trust me – we looked for every possible rebate/grant/program when we were building our companion unit/granny flat. And it sounds like it would qualify since we far exceeded the title 24 energy calcs. (super insulated, better windows, everything energy star/super efficent in the appliances/hvac.). It looks like this program came along recently.
