I’m just smart enough to have made $200K on my house sale in Chicago and smart enough not to buy one of these crazy piece of crap houses in CA. I am leasing for 2-years. And very happy about it.
Thankfully, web sites like this one, helped provide enough information to make some very smart decisions. Reality is, there are alot of dumb and greedy people here in CA. People who have way over extended themselves and actually bought into the hype.
Now, when the bell tolls, they will drop like flies.
My caution to you is sincere. Don’t be greedy. Price your house to sell, cut your asking price by at least 10%-20% and it will sell fast. If not, be prepared to be stuck holding the bag. You can make the decision, or the market will make the decision for you.
