Actually, I think the opposite. I’m surprised anyone is actually surprised by this. Afterall, it is LAPD….
You think other cops in LA are better? Think again. I recall I went to a high school that was a great part of town… The city for whatever reason was patrolled by LA County Sheriff (Lomita dept I think). I recall there was an incident that a high school kid jaywalked across an in front of the high school because she was late to class, and as she walked past the gates and into a school office to get a tardy note, a cop started chasing after her…The cop apparently waited for her to exit the school office, grabbed her by the neck, put her in a choke hold, and tackled her to ground and started to cuff her. The principal came out and was like “WTF are you doing” to the copper. Little did the cop know was that the girl was the daughter of some rich dude family with major connections…So obviously nothing happened afterwards…Can you imagine had it been just any random person?
