No need to use a general contractor for jobs like this that only require one or two different kind of skills. A GC will just take a mark-up on a sub-contractor anyway. If you can find your own sub-contractors, it is much cheaper.
I prefer to find a small operation to do each of the jobs.
Hofstee Drywall has done many jobs for me of various sizes and is always very good at a moderate price.
