Part of the problem is that houses (and everything else we buy) have become throwaway commodities, no different than the Starbucks cup sitting in the holder of your brand new car that you’re going to trade in in 2 years. Tired of your current house? No problem! Throw it away and buy a new one! When things are treated like trash, they become just that — worthless trash.
