lunchabee, I live in Murrieta and yes, many new homes in this area lack character. They’re just plain and boring although the more expensive they get, the better looking. Every now and then, I’ll go into a new home development and find a charming home that speaks to me. That is what I’ll be buying when I buy my home, and I plan to buy new. There was one home I saw a couple years back that had a fireplace in the bedroom situated in a “curved wall”. Unique features like that are what I’ll be looking for.
