[quote=lepetitangel]Hi Flu
Yes being so close to an elementary school gives me some concerns. I was planning on driving over in the morning to see how bad it could be. Any insights to share?
I’m debating between Category 1 and 3…since my husband doesn’t like twinhomes. The delimma really is that old homes have worse floor plans but better property (bigger lot of larger yards) while the newer homes have better floor plans but more cramped.
I did look at trilogy. I want a driveway and triology doesn’t have it. And I don’t care for paying more HOA just becuase it’s a gated community.
Is Carriage Run still charing $750K+ for the new homes in the area?
thanks,

For what it’s is, I like Sausalito (not when it was $800k…Yes, there were some that were sold at that price…)…The only reason why I mention the school thing is because for some folks it’s a nuissance. I have friends that live in that area, and they all seem pretty happy there. And it’s really convenient to go to school. The issue is getting out during the morning, but I think if you avoid the peak hours, it’s fine. The added bonus is it’s really close to Torrey Hills Park (walking distance close).
Drawbacks I can think of
1) Slightly cramped. Though frankly most of the these homes are these days
2) I have a few friends that have complained about wildlife (wabbits/etc) since some of these homes back a canyon/hill.
3) IF you paranoid about cell phone radiation, there is a huge cell phone tower around Torrey Hills park, For that matter, part of the Shores development is even closer. Note that it has not been proven that there is any health related issues from this. That said, the elementary school is near it anyway, and most of Torrey Hills is within roughly the same radius of where the tower is. The output from your phone held to your head is probably more power than what the tower is emitting…And on a positive note, you won’t have a problem getting dropped calls, even with AT&T :)… (yes, I think all the carriers have BTS’s deployed on that tower)….I believe (not sure though) the backhaul uses a microwave link, but it’s deployed on the opposite side I believe, pointing toward the direction of the more expensive homes on the other side of ocean air…(La Strada, i think).. Could be wrong about that….maybe some of the FE’s from the cell phone carriers on this board can comment…
