Everyone have different level of comfort. I’m living in a 2000 sq-ft house today and there’s more than enough space if my parents want to live with us. I grew up with grand ma, 2 aunts, 1 brother, and 2 parents in a 1300 sq-ft house. It didn’t feel tight at all. With 3500 sq-ft, that’s more than enough room to fit at least 6 adults + some kids comfortably. Granted the adults have to get along well.
