(Just so everyone knows this is an offtopic thread and we apologize for hijacking it into football, we can’t help ourselves and in a few weeks it will stop for 8 months, so bear with us).
SD, I remember in the preseason right after the moss trade you thought the patsies would be hard to beat or unbeatable (you were right), the chargers don’t stand much of a chance but it would really be good for them to win one playoff game, the downside is that it will seal our fate with Norv.
I’m not sold on them to win the superbowl but they should win one, maybe two playoff games. They are too young and emotional and do not have any strength at the helm. When it goes their way it goes well, when something goes wrong, they fold. This team needs strong leadership, it was depressing to see Parcels pack for Miami when he could have been our savior. The Browns are pretty much the same team as the chargers(emotion, talent and weak coaching) and the only one they can beat. The Jags bring too much pressure and Rivers doesn’t improvise well, Manning or Brady are better suited to face the jags. Depending on the Tenn/Indy game, the Browns may not make the playoffs and we will face Tennesee who the Chargers can beat. The Chargers also match up well against Pittsburgh but won’t see them the way the seedings are shaping up. I’m just glad they pulled out of their funk and look respectable, even if it was against some weak teams. It’s an emotional game, they are peaking at the right time and are riding high on emotion, so anything is possible. The Pats will win it all and go undefeated, the Chargers just need to end up a top five team so they can be in position next year when the pats melt down in the offseason from all the hype.
