Just do what your home inspector suggests and get an additional electrical inspection and a pool inspection. The home inspector is a generalist — the other folks are specialists.
Electrical stuff can be fixed. The pool might be a huge money pit, or it might be a small money pit … if you find that you don’t use it, you can cut your losses by having it filled.
