not to poke the bear(ishgurl) too much, but don’t you think you would be happier in N. California? All you outings seem to be up here.
jstoesz, only my “in-state outings” are in NoCal. My summer road trips are often in triple-digit heat in southwest states. However, this year I spent a week of my road trip touring the Colo rockies where “boomers,” mostly couples, are out en masse (many on motorcycles) in search of summer homes and retirement properties at (hopefully) the best prices they’ll ever see again in their lifetimes. Some were headed to NV, AZ and FL to view/purchase rental-property investments to fund their retirements. I met and spoke to them from Boulder/Nederland to Estes Park to Aspen to Beaver Creek to Telluride and many points in between.
The snow is still melting into hundreds of waterfalls causing the rivers to bulge and spread!!!
I saw many WOMEN OVER AGE 55 there in awesome shape mountain biking 40-100 mi per day consistently on 6-9% grade in over 10K feet in altitude! Of course there are rest stops for bikers, some with caves for shade :=)
I’m originally from NoCal and several cities/towns there are on my “short list” for retirement locales :=]
