[quote=jimmyle]Last week I received a letter indicating that Pardee will be building about 330 homes (don’t remember the exact number) but half will be SFHs and half will be townhouses. Construction activities will be from 8AM to 7PM. They said they will have a few hundred acres of empty space left after the new homes are built.
Living about 1 mile from here on Callecristobal I was hoping that they don’t build but I guess it is their land. Hopefully the added traffic from the construction and then new homeowners won’t be too bad.
So are these in Mira Mesa, Sorrento Valley or both? Does it matter because they have the same schools and practically next to each other?

I don’t think they’re adding enough houses to cause that much of an impact in traffic. I personally don’t think it matters if it’s Mira Mesa or Sorrento Valley. Technically, the Mira Mesa community covers from east of the 805 and west of the 15. It encompasses both 92126 and part of 92121. Which is why all the businesses have to get approval from the Mira Mesa town council for any development. Also, like you said, both areas go to the same schools, so the only differences is the zip code. AFAIK, the zip code split at Camino Santa Fe.
