Dude, when isn’t some sort of devine selection invoked in this sort of situation? This is a theme that has been repeated throughout history…good and bad. Didn’t W declare God was on our side or some such thing when rallying the citizenry into taking on the invasion of Iraq?

You do realize that he spent a several years of his childhood in Indonesia, which has a large Muslim population. I’m sure he’s heard expressions such as, “righteous wind” on more than one occasion. He used an expression that he’s familiar with to express himself. We all do that on a daily basis.
Why is everything a Democrat vs. Republican arguement? How about we just worry about what’s good for the country. Both parties have been running the country into the ground. Why is it so hard to see that?
We’ve arrived at this point in history together; Democrat, Republican or other. Finger pointing and divisiveness isn’t going to get us anywhere.
Obama talks about change. If he is elected, will he truely bring change? Only time will tell. He’s only one cog in the machine but, he does seem to posses the ability to bring people of varying backgrounds together. That seems to be a very important attribute for some applying for this particular job.
