With all the money being put in to R&D to find a better greener energy source, solar might turn out to be a waste of money in the near future. Especially if Bloom Energy and the like get down to the residential level. Bloom Energy already have a few big names as customers (Google, Ebay, FedEx, Walmart). They say they’re saving much more with it than solar and its footprint is much smaller too.
