I’ve done it and set up autopay from an account with more than the “loan” balance to make sure that I wouldn’t miss a payment. Credit is useful, when you have money that you want to hold for some other purpose. (Say the $25k minimum in a pattern day trader account, plus ability to acquire properties for ca$h.)
