I’ve been renting a 1 bedroom in Pacific Beach for 5 Years and my rent has not chanaged during that period of time(900 a month).
I am moving to a 2 bedroom house in a couple of weeks with real hardwood floors a yard, gargage etc $1600.
After looking at 30 or 40 properties I would say that rent around here is all over the map. There are nice places that rent for 1400 and there are dumps that rent for 1700. I think time of year has a lot to do with rents around here.
If tennants are moving out after October, owners are screwed because they could be holding that property until March or April.
