I’ve always liked Sears for appliances and tools. They also carry Lands End clothing in their stores – and you can return Lands End ordered stuff to Sears for a refund. (Nice if it doesn’t fit right – less hassle than mailing it back.)
From what I’ve seen in San Diego – the K-Marts were converted to “Sears Essentials”. The full blown Sears at the UTC mall is better than the Sears Essentials at Convoy and Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
