I’ve noticed the same thing. I5 is very quiet these days, especially with the DelMar fair in full swing. It used to back up all the way to sorrento valley on the north side.
Friday evenings have been unusually light. I can get home in 20 minutes versus 1 hour. And this has been happening for a few weeks.
So people have definitely cut back on unnecessary driving. I know that I compute the cost of gas before deciding to drive very far for an errand or something. It’s possible more people are using the Gas excuse to work from home more often as well.
