It might be a cow bird, aka buffalo bird. It is too friendly to release because it might land on someone who does not like birds. It sits on your hand and likes to hang out with me when I am on the computer. I was hoping to release her, but she really became much tamer than most of the pet birds we had as kids. I guess we raised her from such a young age that she thinks we are her family. I gave her a mirror so she knows what she looks like, but that does not seem to bother her. Maybe she knows she is adopted. So, I was just looking on e-bay for a chicken tractor for her. I think maybe an old bird cage, so she could dig in the dirt when I am out doing the same thing, but she would be safe from the predators. There are a lot of ravens out here and a couple of road runners.
