“It is difficult in our status oriented society to not compare outcomes.” Agree, and yet, even with the history you mentioned that seems to haunt you, you can choose to break free of all of that and realize those things are no longer your reality, and no longer control your destiny. When you fully accept that the past does not need to control your future, I think you’ll find a greater sense of peace. Anyway, JMHO.
