Finally got my kids’ individual STAR results in the mail yesterday. (San Diego Unified is super slow). It’s interesting to break down the scores… shows the areas that need work.
API isn’t the end-all/be-all.
Our neighborhood school, Curie, still scores very well. (943 down from 950 last year). Despite this bright and shiny score we’re stilling pulling one son out and moving him to a school that has worse scores, Hawthorne. (826, up from 794 last year).
It’s the teachers and parents that really make the learning experience good or bad.
