In CA you have the right to use deadly force to defend yourself in your own home (under certain conditions). I don’t think there’s ever been such a case where the issue of whose home it is has been litigated! Maybe if people keep breaking into homes like this and try to forcibly eject one another, the threshhold legal issue will be, “whose home is this, anyway?”
