I’m more interested in the dogs’ behavior than their breed. So they got through the fence– do they seem to be violent/aggressive in other ways too?
I’ve seen really vicious-acting German Shepherds, but the neighbor across the street has a pit bull (fixed) which is very mellow. The neighbor on the corner, who is a very nice guy, has a pit bull that acts pretty fierce.
It’s very possible the owner of the house doesn’t know about the dogs. It wouldn’t be the first time prospective tenants put on their nicest faces to the prospective landlord and “forgot to mention a little detail.”
