if there’s enough food and stuff, why work? I remember when i was a little kid, there was supposed to be a lot more leisure in the future. maybe this is it. Maybe we are supposed to have a lot more leisure. and this is the way th leisure happens Biblically, I understand everyone’s expectation is that we will earn our bread by the sweat of our brow? But what if all that sweat isnt making the country richer? Will the nation really be wealthier if there are more baristas? Maybe we nned more monks, more amateur philosophers…
