If the timing is, as you suggest, I think it’s unlikely that it will only be Trump in trouble. Trump and Pence are gone, next in line is the new speaker of the house, which would be a democrat. Republicans know that’s no good. If there is any chance of an impeachment, it will be before the next congress takes office in early 2019 so they can salvage some power.
