If I were your husband, I would look for a job in Omaha, Nebraska. I won’t move to San Diego, mainly because it is a coastal town. Don’t ask me why, I am just saying, “if I were your husband”.
But of course, it seems nobody wants to listen to an unpaid soothsayer. Back in 2005, I told people around me in San Diego that there was a housing bubble or mania going on at the time, and it was the best time to sell. Of course, they said to each other, while snickering at me behind my back, that was I not only batty-crazy but doomsayer as well. Most of them bought or gorged up on huge houses at the peak. I sold my fully-paid house there, retired, and promptly left them. Who would want to work with idjits, right?
Anyway, the cost of living in San Diego is ginormous. Also, the Pacific ocean is not inviting anymore, given the scare of plutonium from Japan getting dumped into the Ocean.
