If I were to redo my career (which may very well be soon), I’d probably invest in going back to school and be an optometrist.
1) School isn’t as long as medical school
2) With a private practice, it’s pretty lucrative (not as lucrative as a doctor, but you shouldn’t be a doctor for only the money anyway, since it’s probably not worth it)
3) Low stress job… (“Ok, which is better? One or Two?”)….
4) Almost everyone needs an eye checkup and/or glasses/contacts.
5) Profession is relatively “clean” in that doesn’t require me to get into a lot of grease and grime and sludge.
