I think my wifes UC med school tuition was around 3,000 20 years ago.
THAT was a deal.
After 17 years, I am paying off my private law school loans final payment in jan 2012.
Nobody has mortgage burning parties but I think the modern equivalent is a student loan debt extinguisment party.
I cannot believe it will be done.
I remember thinking I’d be so OLD on the payoff date. And here I am , still Alive and oddly young And in much better physical shape than 17 y ago.
Student loan debt requires you live a long time to make the debt pay.
