i think it is bad to give your kid a name with non-standard spelling. first, they have to explain it to other people their entire life. that wastes valuable time. second, it makes people think maybe your parents were dumb, because it’s unclear whether it’s an intentional variation, or your parents just couldn’t spell. maybe it’s wrong to think that way, and it probably is, since the name is just a name, and it should be more unique than they are now, since we are all unique, but I cannot help it. Alexus doesn’t work for me. I looked it up on a baby name website, and it’s actually primarily a male name, extremely uncommon. i don’t know, the name is troublesome. naming a kid is a big thing, almost as big as buying a house in la cresta (sarcasm on) and should be carefully planned. I suppose perhaps people aren’t as analytical about this issue as I am, but it just seems like a bad move. I’m not picking on Alexus, or her particular individual name, but just in the wisdom of all parents in selecting names that make life any more difficult than it already is. A BOY NAMED SUE, by johnny cash, comes to mind.
