I suspect the house is kind of beat. Per the remarks and also the comments on the history page for that property it’s been a rental. The owner is a realtor who seems to put it on the market whenever it’s vacant – with a deadline he/she’ll re-rent it if no offers. But paint and carpet are cheap fixes relative to the overall cost.
I have a friend who lives at the other end of Robbins in the same model. His house was added onto a bit by the previous owner, but, ironically, they don’t use the added on section. My son’s best friend lives on the same block (different model). It’s a pretty nice, family oriented street. Only downside I see is that Curie is less walkable because of the big hill. (My friends drive to the top of Lipmann then walk from there.)
