I submit that there is no teaching without a relationship, and grading interferes in various bad ways with the formation of a true relationship.
I say this from the perspective of one who was generally at the top of t he class
On the ot her hand if my kid had continued to get Cs at sdsu I would’ve cut him off.
There are ideals and then there’s reality.
