I personally am not a big fan of North Carolina style BBQ, i.e. more often a pulled pork in a more “vinegary” sauce. I’ll take sausage and brisket please.
I did frequent the Encinitas BBQ, and they used to cater our closing day at little league. However I liked Phil’s too.
Also I prefer a thicker sliced brisket not the really thin strips. I say that because here in Orlando there is a popular BBQ place that doesn’t serve the thicker cut brisket but that thinly sliced stuff.
