I have a praying mantis on the front of the house just about every day. Also lots of the big grasshoppers. I have seen a few coyotes along Stonebridge Parkway when I’m riding my bike to work in the mornings. It’s still dark out so I see their eyes refelcted in my lights. They keep their distance though. I don’t worry about my dog too much with them, as I think a Golden Retriever would give a coyote a run for its money.
The stargazing here surpasses my wildest expectations. The only problem is the light pollution from the Pomerado inductrial park. Better on weekends though. Haven’t unpacked the telescope just yet. Might break it out tonight.
