I don’t have a dog in the gay-marriage fight either way. But NJ already legalized unions with basically the same rights and privileges in 2006, and Christie has no plans to alter that law. If I had my say, I’d make ALL marriages (gay, straight, canine, bovine) into “civil unions” at the state level and make “marriage” the sole province of whatever cult the parties choose to adhere to. This would solve the problem of “equality” without annoying the zealots as much.
