I don’t do collections, but I’m surprised there isn’t a way for the individual/entity who has a judgment against him to get to his assets. Maybe he had a good estate planner/asset protection lawyer. After the bank forecloses there might not be enough left to satisfy any judgment. Sucks for the winning plaintiff.
Marion, I don’t think the saying “A fool and his money are easily parted” is a quote from the Bible. I’m reasonably familiar with the book and don’t recall coming across that one. I could be wrong. Point taken, tho.
It would be interesting to know how much he lost on that deal, and how much the judgment was for. That should all be public info. I frequently look at the county recorder’s website to check out potential defendants existing judgment info.
