I came from Northeast Ohio, (youngstown-warren), and we had many blacks. Akron-Canton, Cleveland, all within 50-60 miles and plenty of blacks, so I am not sure why a person of color couldn’t find a place to fit in. Mexicans possibly, and the Asian population is much less. You definitely do not see things like Chinatown, or Vietmanese villages. Also, you do see more Puerto Ricans perhaps than Mexicans.
