I agree that bailout of greedy, incompetent speculator homeowners is travesty and deserves protest. Good for you! I’ve done my share of protesting, letter writing, canvasing, contributing for many causes. You are taking a stand and I commend you.
I’ve recently become more of a shareholder activist and will support via proxy any $ groups that advocate better transparancy and accountability in both govt and corporate world, e.g. implementing such simple concepts as linking compensation to both short term and longer term company performance, Claw-backs of compensation for reckless risk, etc.
Without consequences for bad decisions we will only see a repeat of bailouts in 10 years. Where is moral hazard?
As for the Tea Party Protest, I’m just a little leary of an organization such as Freedomworks that is so pro-deregulation. Enforcement has been gutted in the last 8 years. Where have they been?
