The overwhelming number of illegals are not enjoying social benefits, outside of schooling and school lunches.
take a look at this earlier in the thread:

Most public assistance is only available to citizens. And there is a 5-year waiting period after obtaining legal status…
Do you know about the EIC scam?
Ever wonder why there are so many tax preparers in poor neighborhoods?
Why are these folks so eager to fulfill their civic duty? Ohhhh….
I’d also like to see where you got your numbers regarding Mex birth rate. Are you talking about within Mex or the US?
I wouldn’t worry about a reduction in Mex family size here with the generous social programs we have. See discussion on anchor babies.
I’m looking at the Mexican birth rate. It is not hard to find on line, just google fertility rate Mexico. Went from near 7 to 2.3 from 1970 to 2010.
I would be more concerned about general scamming of the system overall, instead of specifically the illegals. I’m not nor have I ever said there’s no gaming of the social welfare system. Like it was mentioned in prior posts, the Vietnamese elevates this to an art form. And majority of them are legal. This is not to say there are absolutely no illegals gaming the system, but in general most illegals are fearful of contacts with government related services. They typically do not actively seek out handout for fear of deportation.
I’m very much for a reduction of social welfare programs across the board. that would address the scams you are referring to.
