Jim crow laws were not merely racist, they were part if systemic racism, not just perpetrated by individuals, but by groups. So the issue is not whether systemic racism can exist. It definitely did in the past. The issue b is if and when it ended? Now, when exactly did it end, if it did? Was it March 9, 1969? Did it end abruptly or morph into other areas? Is it lessened in intensity or truly gone.
