I agree with you, to a point – I could easily argue that the failure to assist when you’ve put someone in a desperate situation shows some intent. I don’t defend Roy Moore – he seems like a stereotypical dirty old man and my guess is he’s done just what he’s accused of. My point in responding to Brian is, and I’ve made it before, I’m not seeing either side decidedly perched on the moral high ground. And if Brian needs another example, let’s consider (former) Seattle Mayor Ed Murray. So far I believe he’s been accused of molestation by 5 children. And how could we forget Anthony Weiner? I don’t see him as a real “family values” kind of guy.
