Getting back to the original post – a liberal is someone who can never stop prattling on and on about George Bush, and who pollutes every forum – even real estate forums – with their views.
OP’s mention that someone thought Obama is scary cause he didn’t wear a flag pin is either a canard, or their friend was joking.
Throughout the rest of the posts you can see why people don’t talk about politics openly. If you think some good might come out of displacing Saddam – like maybe if one side of your family is Kurdish – you’re labeled pro-Genocide. Though Saddam killing Kurds really was genocide.

I quit talking about politics with hardcore liberals because their views are so unnuanced. It’s not enough that I’m in favor of a citizenship program for illegal immigrants, I must welcome millions more immigrants and pay taxes to support them and if I don’t smile about it I’m a xenophobic racist. It’s not enough that I agree with universal health coverage, it must be Hillary-Care run by bureaucrats. It’s not enough to believe in education, it must be the NEA’s vision of education, which is simply a jobs program for teachers.
It’s not enough that I believe George Bush is a tool and a fool – to a liberal I must loathe him every waking moment.
That’s why I can’t talk to liberals. Because it’s not a discussion, it’s just a one way rant from them.
Iraq II’s been going on for 5 years. Pelosi, Reid, et al haven’t lifted a finger to block funding. If liberals can’t even convince their own party leaders to change course, maybe they’re *gasp* wrong.
