Freshman – I have talked to the security experts and even ADT has told me that the window contacts can be rather ineffective if the contacts being set off are based on the window being opened. Meaning if someone shatters your window but never disturbs the contact because the frame is never opened, then the alarm doesn’t go off anyhow. Therefore with windows, what you need are glass break sensors. Contacts are more important for doors.
I would just get contacts for all your doors and get the motion sensors for various rooms.
