Truthfully, I’m the kinda of guy that would be as happy driving a $100k car on one day and a $5k crapmobile the other day. The closest analogy I can think of is one of my friends who shops at Tiffany’s one day, and Walmart the other. Oh well, we have our own little quirks.
The problem is that $100k is really pushing the envelope these days. You can load up an M3/M4 and that would be $100k. It doesn’t feel like it’s a $100k car.
You use to be able to get a 911s below $100k just a few years ago. Now a 911s starts around $105k…. Car prices have gotten a little out of hand.
I really like the 911s when I drove it and almost pulled the trigger on that… Darn short sales property that came on the market…Though, that was a good decision.
You know what car I really like? My colleague’s McLaren….[/quote]
this is my set up. Regular car for weekdays and an exotic for weekends. Pretty thrilling when sliding your behinds onto the CF/alcantara seat Saturday mornings.
$100K gets you an used F430 or Gallardo. In the long term, this will likely cost you a little less than an M3/4 (as long as you only drive on weekends).
