In MM does it get really hot?[/quote]
Depends on where you are in MM. I live near the canyon, so I get a lot of canyon breeze. In normal summer (w/out Santa Ana heat wave) it gets to high 80s/low 90s. But the breeze would bring that down to about low to mid 80s. The only time I have an issue is when there’s Santa Ana and even the breeze is hot. Other than those few Santa Ana heat waves, the breeze does a great job in cooling down the house. The 20′ vaulted ceiling really helps too. Like I told Brian, it doesn’t get that hot for that long here, so I wasn’t planning to get AC until I heard about this program. I’m willing to pay $120/yr. for this luxury. If I end up selling my house earlier than 6 years, then the government actually would be paying me to put in the AC, since I would be getting 30% tax credit from the federal government.
