GM actually already have one, just not here in the US. It’s called the BLS. It’s being sold in Europe. CTS is really a E-class/A6/5-series competitor, not the C-class/A4/3-series competitor, although it’s priced like the later. GM have many nice cars in Europe, they just choose not to bring them here for some reason. I love their Saturn division, since it’s basically an re-badged Opal. I wish they didn’t kill the Sky/Solstice.
