To all of you who are so sympathetic to people in the US illegally: how would you feel if your social security number were stolen and used by one of these illegals? If you don’t mind at all, then please post it here so one of us can sell it outside the local Home Depot.
Read a few stories of people who have had to try to clean up the mess of their identity after it was stolen by an illegal.
How is a stolen SSN a problem related to exclusively to illegal aliens????Heck, i’ve observed plenty of U.S. citizens that do a fine job trying to steal people’s SSN and credit cards.
Frankly, if you are concerned about a stolen SSN, it’s quite simple to thwart it…Enroll in a credit freeze with all three credit bureaus. It costs a one time $10 setup fee per bureau, and no way someone is going to pull your credit unless you “unfreeze” it. Plenty of safeguards are available, most people just don’t use it or are too lazy to do so.
Just because it is not exclusive to illegals does not warrent it going unpunished. I wonder how the percentage of legal residents and citizens that actually get prosecuted compares to illegals? While we are examining the “unfairness” of the treatment of illegals I wonder how much time and effort is spent by hospitals to get paid for services given to illegals opposed to the poor struggling legal citizens. I have friends in the medical field and can say with resonable assurance that the discrepancy is huge. Unpaid bills owed by legal citizens who can barely make ends meet are often sent to collection agencies but the good old tax payer picks up[ the tab for illegals. Where is the “fairness” in that?
