Now, on to the important shit: WTF happened to the Lakers? I have been listening to all the talking heads in the sports community about LA versus Houston. “Lakers are better coached, they’ll handle Yao, better team chemistry, deeper bench, blah, blah, blah”. Jesus, that was embarrassing last night. They were outplayed, outhustled and outmuscled. And, Mr. Zen Master didn’t seem to have a frickin’ clue as to how to handle Yao. 28 points and 10 boards! Yao was Yow!
What makes this especially priceless is my wife is from Houston and she has been periodically stopping me in the halls to laugh in my face. Nice.
The Bank of Mexican Food in Old Town rocks. I also like Swing Inn for breakfast, although I haven’t been in there for ages. Chicken Fried Steak and eggs.
Alright, sorry for the threadjack. Back to Temecula becoming the SoCal version of Chernobyl.
Yeah that game yesterday blows. Lakers aren’t playing well recently. The past couple of games they just seem to run out of steam…I forget which game that they almost blew a pretty big lead on the 3rd.
Yao looks better and better each time.
Houston and Denver both match up pretty good with the Lakers. The amazing thing to me is, Houston is far better w/o T-man in the lineup. I thought they were done for after they lost him, but they managed to work better as a team post-McGrady.
On more of a side note, am I the only one that thinks Yao was genetically engineered in a lab by the Chinese government? How can such a big guy have such beautiful soft hands?
